No-one said life ever has to be fair but, as parents, you quickly discover the world is not set up to make things easy for you. There are challenges at every turn. Of course, all the healthcare needs can be put on the back burner if you or your partner have a family plan provided by your employers. Now all you have to do is read the small print to see what coverage is provided for children while they are at elementary school or high school while still under the magic age of 18 years. After they pass the threshold of their eighteenth birthdays, the coverage gets more patchy. They are still family members but the extent of the coverage may change. If you have not been fortunate to find an employer offering health coverage as part of the pay package, the world has been less welcoming. It’s entirely possible that you and your family are one of the growing millions who are uninsured or underinsured. This leaves a number of options to explore for the children. For some years, the federal government has recognized that children are the future of our country. If they do not grow up strong, the future may not see the US remain so dominant internationally.

So, with federal encouragement, states have been offering a safety net for children. The alternatives are Medicaid and the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) which was established by the Balanced Budget Act of 1997 to expand health insurance coverage to uninsured children in families with income too high to qualify for Medicaid. For the record, Congress has provided about $40 billion to fund SCHIP through 2007. Federal funding is currently available. Outside the federal and state programs, some elementary and high schools group together to offer health coverage for their students where the families are uninsured or underinsured. Some states have not set generous criteria for access to their SCHIP and the group policies help the modestly well-off families bridge the health plan gap. Once children turn adult at 18, they are mostly on their own. If you as parents provide private coverage, this can represent the best outcome as they work their way through college and university. Otherwise, this leaves the young adults to live with the risks of no cover, or accept one of the “affordable” policies offered by their college or university.

It’s a sad fact your children will consider themselves invincible. Many are lucky and survive the education part of their life without accident or illness. But if anything serious goes wrong, they will add significant medical expenses to the burden of loans and credit card debts. Local community clinics can only provide basic care. The college or university policies are often highly affordable. More importantly, starting a health insurance policy at low student rates gives them track record when they later seek coverage as an employee. But one word of caution. These are not comprehensive policies and they often limit or exclude serious injuries or disease. As parents, you may feel it wise to top up the basic cover. Get multiple health insurance quotes to find the best value additional cover. Even if your children are enrolled as medical students, they cannot expect anything more than routine treatment from the medical professionals in their area. They will be treated as “ordinary” students when it comes to paying the deductible and any copayments.

Pursuing a college degree or a master degree can open up the doors of higher growth in professional life. So, every one who wants to get job satisfaction and want to have a sophisticated lifestyle then that person should definitely do higher studies. Doing higher studies requires two most important things. And among those two things one is student’s dedication to study and second is the student’s position to afford for the fees. Paying fees seems to be a smaller aspect but when the actual time to pay fees comes, this smaller aspect becomes bigger hurdle in the way to pursue higher education. This is said because now a days learning and studying is very expensive and such expensive studies can not be afforded by lower income group persons. Hence, number of college students has to leave their studies in between just due to higher fees and lower pockets.

But now the students will no more have stop their studies because of money as getting financial assistance for college students is much easier and simpler then before. This is said because there are many parties who understand this condition of the students and keeping this thing in mind number of helping hands have been raised for these students. The first institute from where the student can raise loan for studies is there own university or colleges. This can be possible as there are number of colleges which have the facility of loan at least for their in-house students. Raising loan form the same institute from where a student is studying will serve with more convenience to the students to get loan. But it is also a fact that there are some institutes which do not serve their students with loan facilities and because of this the students have to make arrangement for their funds from other institutes or organizations from where loan can be raised. So, the other institutes can be said to be the second source to raise funds for further studies. There are many institutions which provide loan to the students and that too at lower interest rates. Apart from these there are many more institutions which give the loans on no interest rates this means, these are those institutions which offers no credit loans to the students.

Academy is the third in the queue which has raised a helping hand to help the college students so that they can continue their studies. Besides institutes, organizations and academies there are also banks which are helping students to pursue higher studies. The banks generally charges higher interest rates but when the question of study loans comes the interest rates considerably falls down and becomes almost nearer to nil. So, in this manner there are so many parties in the society which can help the students in many ways. These all things are done because these all parties do not want ‘money’ to be the hurdle in the way of education. Henceforth if any student is unable to continue his/ her college studies can be relaxed and raise loan for their studies from any of the institutions or parties which are listed above.

Difficulties of adaptation in the students’ community No doubt, time spent at campus is an important and unforgettable period in every person’s life. One should catch every moment of the student’s life, as it will never repeat. Different types of activities are provided by the higher schools. The students can join clubs, enrichment programs, go in for sport. It is easy to find something that fits one’s interest. The management of the college is interested in the students’ cultural development and relevant time destination. It is up to the personal traits of character how much time the adaptation period will take. It seems that some students join the students’ community so easily as if they found themselves at a familiar place. At the same time other students are more introverted. It is not so easy for them to get into contact with others. From the first days at college a freshman has to get used to the new unknown atmosphere; take pains and work hard at class (as it is actually the primary purpose of staying at college, if I am not mistaken); to join the students’ community, make friends with fellow-students. Getting involved into the students’ activities It is not an easy task to get used to everything new in life. It may happen, that not everything will proceed smoothly. Constant stress will do no good. One should find the ways for relaxation and self-realization at the same time. Fortunately, the students’ clubs are available. The freshman can continue developing the talents he/she demonstrated at school or open new unexpected abilities. Drama, literature, poetry, sports clubs one can choose. Actually, the activity itself is not so important. It is much more significant to join the community, meet new people and make friends with them. It will help one to feel free at ease at campus and at class.

Maybe a new notion in the struggle to persuade young adults to attend college could be to start them out sporting trendy university or college gear as toddlers. It’s sometimes culturally complicated to choose to attain advanced schooling , particularly if you’d be the very first in your family to do this. Sporting university or college apparel early on can help affect the undecided college student to better himself, specifically if his parents will also be showing off collegiate clothing.

Let’s consider the student whose mother and father may be indifferent or possibly antagonistic toward the educative system in general. Would personally wearing university clothing assistance to soften this type of parent toward higher education for their child? Or merely the emotion of being able to dress their children in excellent college clothing might at least bring the thought of sending their son or daughter to college one day to the forefront of their minds in a positive way. Cool college gear for the parent and the child can help minimize ill will towards higher education for the parent who was failed by the school system, or perhaps even dropped out in the tenth or eleventh grade. Dropping out of the education system can leave a lot of parents with an education level close to the fifth or sixth grade. This could leave them feeling defeated by the system and if wearing college gear could reverse that mindset, we should give it a try. I want to think that proudly wearing collegiate clothing just might change that self defeating path of being a high school dropout.

Family characteristics between child and parent, child and grandparents, child and cousins, even between child and aunts and uncles could possibly be problematic when out of the blue the child and also mom and dad are wearing university apparel. Also sporting trendy college gear may alienate the child from these family members who have not sought higher education. Obviously, simply wearing university apparel does not make certain college attendance for the child. But seeing the parents also wearing collegiate clothing while growing up could help set a new family norm. College gear could be thought of as cool in the family if everybody is wearing university apparel, and help the child set internal goals of higher education.

With the heavy cost of college gear, maybe the universities them selves can give babies born in their community’s free collegiate clothing. Creating good will between the universities and their close community members is an ongoing goal which may be aided with this idea. I am excited to see a lot of doors open in the hearts and minds of families and children in the communities who take hold of the idea of giving university apparel to newborns as well as their parents! This is undoubtedly a win-win situation for the colleges and community members who participate in this variety of a program. Gifting some college gear to a family once may instill many purchases in the future of the universities collegiate clothing as the child grows!

As new reforms in the Australian visa requirements have been widely advertized all over India, an increase in the number of Indian students applying for student visa Australia has been observed in the first six months of 2011.

As Indian students welcome the new changes on the Australia migration visa policies with the new points test, as well as the recognizing of degrees from some Indian reputed colleges and institutions by the Australian government, there has been an increase in the number of Indian students application for Australian visa, particularly student visas for Australia after a distressing slump in the previous couple of years. Based on the new figures released by the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), the Australian high commission in Delhi has observed that the statistics revealed that the number of applications for student visas from Indian students in the first six months of 2011 has a jump of 21 percent, with the student visa applications reaching more than 3700 applications. The said increase could also be attributed to the Australian government’s widespread advertising campaign in Indian media which was aimed to attract professionals to settle in Australia as well as the reduction of the student visa assessment levels for one or more Student visa subclasses for 38 countries which include India.

This will lower the minimum evidentiary requirements needed for the grant of a Student visa for the selected countries and education sectors. Previously, a drastic drop in the student visa application from Indian students was attributed to the widespread media coverage of a number of racist attacks on Indian students. Now, with the ongoing advertizing media campaign regarding the reforms in the Australian immigration policies which is aimed to attract Indian talents has significantly sprung back the number of student visa applications. Similarly, Australia’s new immigration rules is said to be advantageous to Indians in getting fast-track permanent residence; thus, causing an increasing interest of Indian students in an Australian education as the new points test system awards bonus points to Indian applicants who have studied in Australia and who satisfy the Australia study requirement while studying in regional Australia and completed an approved Professional Year in their nominated occupation or a closely related skilled occupation.

With the reforms in the Australian migration policies, particularly the point test system, Indian students who are applying for permanent residence would now be assessed on a broader perspective in contrast to the previous visa eligibility requirements which was just the qualification gained during their study in Australia. India has continued to be the third-largest provider of permanent skilled migrants to Australia, behind China and Britain, with over 15,000 permanent skilled migrants last fiscal year.
